Principles of Servant hood

I.               The concept of Servanthood

a.     All men are slaves

                                               i.     The Greek for slave is ‘doulos’, which means someone who belongs to someone.

b.     The slaves of mammon

                                               i.     Mammon represents anything that replaces God:

Ex. Money, Wife, Boyfriend, anything and anyone

c.      The slaves of Christ

II.             The Attitude of the Servant – Phil. 2:5

a.     Example: Jesus Christ – John 13:1-7

                                               i.     Jesus knew who He was – John 13:1-7

1.     He knew His time – v1

2.     He knew He loved people – v1

3.     He knew His authority – v3

4.     He knew where He came from and where He would be going – v3
